Two words of advice from Elegant Occasions are to be educated and organized. The bride that has done her research and knows what she wants is the one who will leave her reception happy. If you know what you want, Elegant Occasions will make it happen! You can read magazines and books, get on the Internet and pay attention at your friend's receptions. Also, it is worth the investment to purchase a Wedding Planner. You can organize all the pictures and pages torn from the Bridal Magazines! You can also refer to the Planner's recommendations for what to do next.

We once had a Father of the Groom tell us that he would encourage his next son to nail down the date with the Reception Site and the Church before he looked for the girl! The earliest stress in planning your wedding day will be the task of coordinating the date. Are the Church and the Officiant available on the date that the Reception Site has an opening? Many of the Bridal magazines recommend beginning this pursuit a year to 18 months ahead of your chosen date. Once you have accomplished this feat, you can relax (a little) and plan for all the other stresses!

The next step with us will be to meet with you at least a month before your reception to plan. We will cover all details that pertain to Elegant Occasions. We use a questionnaire that we will cover together so we know exactly what to expect from each other. We will discuss your menu choices and choose your Wedding Cake. We will discuss what will be available in the Bar and how you want the room set up. We try to figure out how the evening will flow so that Elegant Occasions' staff can be prepared to execute each task with efficiency.

Ten days before your reception you are required to notify Elegant Occasions of the exact number of guests. This number becomes your guarantee and cannot be reduced. Charges are based on the guarantee or the actual number served, if greater. Any increase in your guarantee will be considered up to 48 hours prior to your event. One half of the estimated bill is also required 10 days before your reception. The balance is due immediately following your reception.
